Fantastic spot just outside Hillsborough. Food is top notch and service is friendly and attentive without being pushy. Highly recommend going off the beaten track and checking out this lovely little pub! View all feedback.

was pheasant for the first last night with my partner, I must say that eating was delicious the desert was to die for the personal very satisfied. I was disappointed that we accused the sauce with our steak. the steak was expensive enough to pay for her side without having to pay for the sauce, but that would not stop me from coming back View all feedback.
Been here b4 and food was ex. This visit our party were not impressed. Steaks were very gristle, roast potatoe was bit hard. I didn't get my veg but an ex serving of veg was ordered so not sure if that was mine to. 1 dessert was ordered, came with wrong ice cream on it. The total cost for 4 meals, 1 share starter and 1 dessert and soft drinks was very expensive. This experience has put me off returning. Didn't want to cause a scene so didn't complain.
Atmosphere is cosy, inviting . We would go here every so often each time staff are pleasant and meals are good portion size good quality. It is a very relaxed atmosphere so expect service to be a little slow.
My friend and I dined at The Pheasant this evening and had such a lovely meal. The staff are second to none as they are so friendly and helpful. I’m vegetarian and as I was not too enamoured with the menu for vegetarians the waitress was more than happy to let me alter one of their dishes.. The atmosphere at The Pheasant is very warm and welcoming.. Looking forward to my next visit
Food was absolutely great enjoyed it was perfect except the table we were at looked into the kitchen and noticed the staff vaping in the kitchen did not like that the thought that it was wrong not very hygienic
