Great option for vegetarians! Traditional 3-course French menu but done in a farm-to-table eco-conscious way. Two or three choices for each course, changes daily, wide selection of wines. I had zucchini gazpacho, summer vegetable risotto and macerated berries. Reservations recommended as the place is small and popular. View all feedback.
What Kathryne Hoppe dislikes about Osé:
we went for a family dinner and despite our personal waiter daniel, was very attentive, charming and knowledgeable, the manager was brusk and dismissed for our group. eating was delicious, but the experience stained some of the dirty look. pity, as otherwise we would. return and recommend, friends who travel in the region. Easily the best restaurant we have visited in Angers, just down the road from the Tourist office, and one of the few that specialises in local organic produce and offers a proper vegetarian menu. As with all popular restaurants in the city, Osé quickly filled...up soon after opening time so it was as well we booked ahead. It 's a small place that only opens Thursdays and Fridays for dinner (though all week for lunch). A limited, ever-changing menu of beautifully prepared and creative dishes at a reasonable price, so we had starter, mains and dessert, along with a complimentary 'amuse bouche ' whilst waiting for our starter. The bill for two came to €63, which included 4 glasses of wine, so not cheap eats, but worth every Euro! The owner speaks little English, but the word végétarien is all you need to say – it brings a smile to his face!

We had a booking of 6 adults and 6 children and did not immediately feel welcome as our children spoke. we kept the children as quiet as possible - much quieter than other children in the restaurant. other children in the restaurant were. wild between the tables, as our quiet and sitting. However, we seemed to be the only table that the owner obviously did not want, as she accepted our booking with the knowledge that we had 6 children and came out of england. our seger daniel was excellent, but we felt really unwilling from the owner. eating was a big standard, but due to the miserable atmosphere of the owner, we wouldn't come back.
Delicious food is important to me. that was my first time in France, so I knew I wanted to experience an authentic French cuisine. spoiler warns this story has a good end. 1) service was excellent. at least the waiter who served me. angers. is a small town and I do not expect people to speak English. the waiter was very friendly, polite and worked hard to explain the menu to me. 2) the price. according to my opinion, the price is appropriate for what they get. I visited ose for lunch and ordered 3 meals (see pictures below) and paid 30 euro coffee 5 eur. the food was delicious and I left the restaurant quiet. 3) place/atmosphere/design. the restaurant is located near the château d’angers. honestly, when it comes to the restaurant itself, as it looked nothing special. However, the place could be a bit easier, they open the curtains, it was easy to dim inside for me. no music that's okay for me. maybe they can play come French relaxing music in the background to add the experience. 4) was delicious and filled. my favorite was the dessert. it was delicious, just the right amount of sweet perfect. starter was interesting, but good wise. I think the word I'm looking for is different. I've never thought of a fried comb. unique. Finally, the main dish was a kind of french spaghetti together with the beet in a sauce and the fish. like a sea fan of the fish was perfectly cooked. but it was cooked quickly, I waited for my dessert only a few minutes, which also makes me think that eating was not the freshest. Anyway, overall it was good.
