Not only was this the worst meal I’ve we’ve had in Sardinia. This is by far the worst meal I’ve ever eaten. We got spaghetti vongole for my 3 year old as she loves it. The clams were off/old/rancid my partner and I both tasted them and spat them out. We had to take the plate away from my daughter who was crying because she wanted her spaghetti. How you serve rancid food to someone’s child, I don’t know. All the wait staff ignored us until I stood up with the plate and took it over to them. They then replaced it quite a long time later with a giant pile of plain spaghetti on an enormous plate just sitting on a lump of butter that wasn’t even melted. Our meal we ordered the meat platter, which was over cooked thin little strips of random meat together with potatoes, peppers and aubergines, etc all of which tasted like it had been sitting there all day long. We tried to get out of there as quickly as possible but it was a long argument to get the spaghetti taken off the bill. I wanted to walk out without paying anything, it was so bad. We often travel around Europe, we get to know new cities and cultures and it is important for us to get to know the cuisine of that region. We visited many restaurants in Algiers, Sardinia and the one that stood out for its welcome even though it is crowded, excellent service, menu selection and price is Bonta Sarda. Large selection of Pizza and especially classic selection of seafood and meat specialties. Everything here is phenomenal but be sure to order Zuppetta di Cozze and after this appetizer you can skip the main courses and go straight to Dessert. The portions are large and delicious. Next time be sure to order Linguine Bonità Sarda and Insalata di polpo or from the meat menu Terra mia and finally Ravioli dolci! We look forward to coming back.
