We booked on a friend's advice and we had a great time. Great welcome, delicious food and the owner/cook very kind in preparing a special dish for my daughter. I don't know when I'm going back to Alghero but when I come back, it's definitely a mandatory stop. View all feedback.
What SusiW35 dislikes about Home Alghero:
Qatari dinner! Appetizer seafood, underground. Spaghetti with seafood, certainly not from the Meet ... tomato sauce from the can. Tuna completely dried, not cut with knife and fork, Ghambarinis old, black, disgusting! I only ate the salad and the pommes, well... absolutely not recommended. View all feedback.
We stayed twice at dinner from Bastia, Luciana and Nicola during our holiday in Alghero. In addition to being beautiful people, they really cook with their guests, who at the end of the evening, would like to return among their dearest friends to continue their attendance. Bastia uses exceptional raw materials for her culinary preparations helped by her sister, while Nicola entertains the guests and helps with love and attention. Fabulous appetizers, first dishes including Spaghetti with curls.. In short, a real pleasure to be their guests. We hope to be back soon. Meanwhile, thank you very much, despite being a “restaurant” you feel right at home with the dearest friends.
We celebrated my mother's 80 years with a delicious dinner, and adapted to the needs of the birthday party. The excellent company of the owners then seasoned everything
Thanks to a friend we tried this home restaurant that was a pleasant surprise. Food sought and of excellent quality definitely to be revisited.
Took part in a fabulous 4 hour Sardinian cooking class yesterday and loved every moment of it. It will certainly be a highlight of our stay in Alghero! The outdoor cooking class took place in their pretty,shady garden and we were taught by 2 very experienced teachers, Bastinina and her sister Luciana supported by Nicola, Bastinina’s husband. We prepared a 4 course meal of fried whitebait, ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta, roast aubergine and a local dessert. At 8pm we sat down with our ‘master chefs’ to enjoy our delicious meal accompanied by local white and red wine and later liquors provided by our hosts. We had a lot of fun together and thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company. We arrived in the afternoon as strangers but left as friends with a greater appreciation of Sardinian cuisine thank you so much for everything. Ci vediamo, Cathy and Charles
Excellent variety and freshness of fish. Clean, defined and exquisite flavors. A rich dinner without hanging: fabulous! Very pleasant and informal family welcome. Recommended
