We visited Boy Bloom for coffee and breakfast and absolutely loved it! The croissants were excellent, and the banana bread was delicious. The staff were very polite and attentive. A Sweet Mix-Up at Boy Bloom I stopped by Boy Bloom for a simple coffee, expecting nothing more than a quick caffeine boost. What I didn’t anticipate was an unexpected caramel twist. The café was quiet when I arrived, aside from the barista engrossed in a phone call—either negotiating world peace or securing endless caramel syrup. I ordered a straightforward takeaway coffee, but when it arrived, it was suspiciously caramel-flavored. When I mentioned I hadn’t asked for caramel, the barista firmly insisted that I had ordered a caramel cappuccino. I’ve never once ordered a caramel cappuccino before, yet here I was, being confidently corrected over my own order. Miscommunications happen, but doubling down instead of simply fixing the mistake? That’s a bold move. Looking at their menu next time, I might just stick to a black coffee—if it arrives with whipped cream and sprinkles, I’ll know why. If you enjoy unexpected caramel surprises and a barista who’s sure they know what you wanted, Boy Bloom is your spot.
