"We ordered the beef tongue set meal for two! The hot tail soup was delicious! The sticky grated yam was also good! The slightly sweet miso tongue grilled over charcoal was amazing! The barley rice was also delicious.".
I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while because of its good ratings on Tabelog. Finally, I had some free time and decided to try the miso set meal that was highly recommended. I had tried a similar dish at Umami Taosuke a week before, but the portion there was too big. Here, the portion was just right and easy to eat, maybe because it was so delicious that I finished it in no time. My mother felt the same way. A local elderly couple, who seemed to be regular customers, arrived a little later. They both ordered 1.5 portions and enjoyed their meal quietly. I thought about adding an extra portion of meat, but decided to save it for my next visit. The grated yam was really good. I had never had it with beef tongue in Sendai before, but the combination was perfect and I was able to finish my meal feeling satisfied. The portions were generous and the beef tongue stew and curry looked delicious as well. I will definitely come back to try them next time.

The miso flavor had a great aroma and richness, while the salt was refreshing yet juicy. The tail soup was a great palate cleanser, leading to endless servings of barley and risotto.
