My client wanted to try this restaurant, and I would have given it five stars because the food was really good (we ordered the dinner for two at $23.95). However, I was disappointed that since my client chose shrimp, I couldn't have a shrimp entree unless I paid an extra $4.00. As a result, I had to order a meat dish. They didn't offer any other non-meat options besides shrimp, not even a vegetable dish. On a positive note, the egg drop soup was delicious, and my client enjoyed his meal. I’m sure my kids will love the chicken too!
Update: 2021. This business is under new ownership. My last visit there prior to the new ownership was a real disappointment, cold food, items left out of my order etc. I haven't been back since it has changed hands, but I have heard good things about it. Eventually I'll try it and review it again at that time. For now I'm dropping it from 5 stars to 3 stars based on my last experience, and knowing it's under new ownership. My first time here! The place is clean, the people are very friendly and my meal was great! I look forward to coming back here again and trying out other entrees. The prices are about average. The place is on the small side but its comfortable. I enjoyed my visit and recommend checking them out! I returned to this place later in the week to check out some of their other dishes. The place was busy but I did find a seat. Although busy it was clean and orderly. The gal was right on it with the service. Fast and friendly. This time I tried the appetizer cream cheese puffs. Wow! Hot and crunchy. Perfect color and the creamy cheese just melted in your mouth. Then for my meal I had the cashew chicken and let me tell you they arent stingy on the nuts or the chicken. It was a good dish. Over all I enjoyed this visit also and plan to return sometime in the future. Really a nice bunch there and the food is very good that I have tried so far. It's worth checking out.
Usually very good but we just got a Mongolian Beef that was 90% onions. Hit and miss here. Where’s the beef?
Wife had chicken fried rice with lots of chicken and I had same but with shrimp. plus pork. That was four dollars extra and all I received was a couple small pieces of pork with four small shrimp and not much chicken..No salt pepper or anything else onany of the tables. Food was rather strong spicy unlike other places we have been. Wife's tea came in a bottle ! Go back, NEVERas there are much better places in town. $29 for our meal is just not worth what we received.
The food was hit or miss. Too much reliance on soy sauce. The egg rolls were just ok, but the dipping sauce was really good and there was a good amount. The shrimp with broccoli was tasty, but the sauce wasn’t thickened at all and poured like soup. So agood amount was all over the bag. The Singapore noodles with shrimp were a huge disappointment. They were dark brown, not thesunny yellow they should be. Way way way too much soy sauce. If I had been in the restaurant I would’ve sent it back. The sideorder of fried rice was pretty much just rice with soy sauce. I also got a side order of lo mein noodles and surprise, surprise, the dominant flavor was soy sauce. One last thing, if you use the beyondmenu online ordering, they don't tell you how long it'sgoing to take until AFTER you've placed the order, and then there's no way to cancel it. That's not the restaurant's fault,it's just the platform that they're using, but it's something to be aware of. I placed the order at 10 after 7:00, and when Ihit the place order button, it informed me that my anticipated delivery time was an hour and a half from the present time. Iwould have never ordered if I had known it was going to take that long. Yes, I could have called the restaurant and canceled itand then fought with BeyondMenu/Paypal to get my money back, but I just let it ride. It ended up taking about 40 minutes, whichis pretty standard and I was quite okay with. But I think if you're going to do take out or delivery, I would call therestaurant and do it that way if that's possible. This was my first time using BeyondMenu, and I was not impressed.
