Fantastic experience and meal here! Great service and the food was hot and fresh and served to me. The food came in a great serving size and filled me up. The owner accidentally knocked my soda down and immediately got me a new one without asking. Will definitely be coming here again soon. View all feedback.
What Jaya Weaver doesn't like about Asian Star Of Youngwood:
This is your typical chinese take out restaurant. We were very glad that it had a few booths. We met a family friend for a late dinner, and this was the only restaurant open other than fast food. Typical, average food was served. What we expected and nothing more. The staff were friendly and didn't make us feel uncomfortable coming in late. We appreciate that they stayed open a little late for us. View all feedback.
I ordered a meal for take-out. I really didn't like anything about it. I ended up taking it home after work and later forced myself to eat it instead of throwing it away. I ended up with an instant headache, the kind I get only when I eat MSG. Will never eat from here again.
A lot of food for the price. Quickly prepared and hot

I recently ordered takeout from Asian Star and had a great experience. I ordered shrimp and vegetable with lo mein, and the very nice staff ensured a short wait time. The meal even came with an egg roll. The food was hot and fresh, with the shrimp tasting delicious and a good amount of them. The vegetables also tasted fresh. The dinner combo was a great price. It was a good experience overall!
I'll be honest and say that I really wasn't impressed. On the other hand, I recognize that (1) I'm not in Chinatown in Manhattan or Flushing, Queens or many neighborhoods in Brooklyn and (2) that Pittsburgh palates may insist upon a more (much more) bland Chinese cuisine than what I'm used to eating. Still, it was filling and my hunger was stilled.
