I love it, it's products, it's ethos and it's sustainable credentials, but at several locations in the Hitchin industry I have made to feel less than worthy of older employees. the younger employees are always polite and helpful, but older employees, senior. members of the team were quite rude. the last incident was that I returned tomaten (yet in the date) that were cumbersome and was told by the waitrose person in customer service (the title must be ironic) how she would still eat. I'm just getting out and wondering how rude she was. I spend 60 pounds per week in waitrose and want to do this further, but I feel very disappointed. they have to try to welcome more. atm it's far from inclusive.

The manager acted like a bully and was extremely... read more I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. The toilets were filthy and some of the staff were rude. The manager acted like a bully and was extremely unpleasant. There is one staff member who wears glasses, I do not know his name, but he was particularly rude and unhelpful. The people working on the coffee machine were also unfriendly. I have been coming here for 5 years and sadly, things have not improved. I suggest that the management team at Waitrose should start by cleansing the staff in the administration here.

There is free parking available at this restaurant. It was not crowded, with only a few empty tables. The service in the café was excellent, and they served the... read more There is free parking available at this restaurant. It was not crowded, with only a few empty tables. The service in the café was excellent, and they served the best bacon butty I've ever had. The staff were very helpful and there were short queues at the checkout.
