My husband and I really liked the aesthetic of the restaurant, especially the lighting and ceiling tiles. However, the space is quite small and the tables seemed to be more suitable for larger groups. I wish there were more options for smaller parties. We had to order at the counter instead of with a server, which made me feel uncomfortable as I like to chat with the server and get recommendations. The food was good but a bit underwhelming for the price. The avocado toast was tasty but the portion size was smaller than expected. The potato/hashbrown casserole was decent but presentation was lacking. The crunch wrap was good, with crunchy corn chips and a flavorful filling. The portion size was satisfying. We also had fresh fruit as a side, but unfortunately, we didn't receive a to-go container for it. We visited on a weekday, so the menu was less extensive compared to the weekend brunch menu. I would like to return for the weekend brunch when the weather is warmer and sit outside. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would recommend trying the food here.

The lavender lemonade was so refreshing and the El Dorado sandwich was delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also great. The only downside for me is that the portion sizes could be a bit bigger for the price. They also forgot to include dressing in my salad, which is understandable.

Now, I can get to the business of explaining just how amazing my experience was at The Meating Place! The moment that I walked in, the owner cheerfully greeted and pointed me in the right direction to place my to go order. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating! And the menu! Whew! Fresh options for breakfast, lunch and an all day option for Breakfast. Scratch made options that are served up quickly and packaged to preserve your choices. The aesthetic of the restaurant is so warm and clean, tastefully decorated, and makes you want to stay a while. This is not your local greasy spoon, great quality food and drinks are not cheap, so come prepared to tip well to match your experience! Great for Saturday morning brunch, a quick bite, a day date, it's even an excellent option for a party of one for a fine cup of coffee.Located in Winterville in the Food Lion shopping center. There is ample parking. Thank you, Shaina, and your entire staff for the five star experience.Kid-friendliness: It seems as if everyone had a baby or toddler in this day. It felt like a warm family environment.Wheelchair accessibility: There is ADA parking directly in front of the restaurant as well as access for wheelchairs off of the sidewalk.
