I tried the vegan chocolate wing cake, and it was absolutely delicious! The café has a bit of a chaotic vibe, so you may find yourself waiting outside at times. However, the interior is beautifully decorated and has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sherlocks:
They seemed to be entirely unaware of food allergies. At one moment they mentioned that the bread contained milk, and the next moment they claimed it didn’t, which made me doubt their understanding of a vegan diet. The vegan option we tried was quite dull and lacking in flavor. They mentioned having milk, but we ended up not receiving any coffee at the end. View all feedback.
Had the vegan chocolate fudge cake! It was delicious. Cafe is slightly chaotic... You might even have to wait outside! Very nice decor inside though and very cooled.
They were completely susceptible to all allergies in their food. One minute they said that the bread had milk and then they said that it wasn't what made me not confident that they knew what a vegan diet was. The vegan option we had was very boring and bland. They said they had oat milk, but we had no coffee in the end.
The Hummus Veg pannini Sandwhich was amazing. The prices are good, the food is lovely the staff are really friendly. Updated from previous review on 2021-12-11
The cafe has a lovely setting. It's very sherlock-esque. There isn't much on the menu for vegans, and nothing is labelled vegan, but if you dig deep there are some options. Roasted veg and houmous panini, which I had, would not be my first choice, but was actually really nice. It had peppers and aubergine on. It comes with crisps, salad and coleslaw (which isn't vegan so ask to not have it) other things a saw, soup with bread if you have no butter, jacket potato and beans, toast and preserves and the fried etc are cooked in vegetable oil. Even though not advertised on the menu, they have soy milk for hot drinks. I don't think any of the cakes are vegan (a lot of gluten free). There is also an escape room in the attic which is about £20pp. It is VERY hard, even for an acid escape roomist but good fun. We did not get out
Interesting little cafe but feels very cramped and there are bearly any options for vegans. Updated from previous review on 2023-07-09
