Here you will find the menu of Sherlock's Coffee House in Whitby. At the moment, there are 58 dishes and drinks on the menu.

Sherlock's Café offers a delightful traditional tearoom vibe, bustling with customers and cozy nooks. Patrons laud its delicious coffee, homemade scones, and delightful chocolate fudge cake. However, the café struggles with transparency regarding vegan and vegetarian options, leading to inconsistent service and confusion over dietary needs. While some dishes, like the panini, are enjoyable, others lack creativity and flavor, leaving diners questioning value for money. Despite its charming atmosphere and friendly staff, those seeking reliable vegan fare might find better options nearby. Still, for a quaint experience, Sherlock's remains a tempting choice for casual visits.

What a pleasant surprise! I decided to take a chance and call ahead to this restaurant, and I'm so glad I did. It was bustling with customers, so we had to navigate our way up, down, and back into the restaurant to find a seat. Don't let the small size fool you - it was well worth the effort. What User dislikes about Sherlock's Coffee House:
They seemed to be entirely unaware of food allergies. At one moment they mentioned that the bread contained milk, and the next moment they claimed it didn’t, which made me doubt their understanding of a vegan diet. The vegan option we tried was quite dull and lacking in flavor. They mentioned having milk, but we ended up not receiving any coffee at the end. View all feedback.

The staff was also very friendly and attentive.

This restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and the food is delicious. I celebrated my 30th birthday dinner here on June 10th and not only were we warmly welcomed, but our dogs were too.

I really enjoyed this restaurant, even though we only had coffee and cake, including a gluten-free option. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is excellent. They even accommodated us when they were busy. The gluten-free chocolate brownie was delicious, similar to a fudgy brownie.
