When she inquired about the bread, it was not warmed and tasted like it had just been taken out of the refrigerator. The service was not the greatest, just okay.

The calamari was particularly impressive as it melted in your mouth and was not rubbery at all. The minestrone soup also had a wonderful flavor. Our entrees were all very tasty and did not disappoint. My daughter had a pizza sandwich, my other daughter created her own pasta dish, and my wife had the lasagne. As for myself, I always go for the seafood risotto, which is the dish that keeps me coming back to Uccello’s. Unfortunately, this time it was not up to par as it only had shrimp in it and was missing the scallops and crabmeat. Despite my disappointment, the flavor was still very good. We did let our waitress know about the issue, and she offered to bring me another dish, but I was too full to eat more. The dish was not removed from our bill, but our waitress was otherwise great. Another issue we encountered was the lack of enthusiasm from the hostess, who seemed to have a disinterested look on her face while she lounged across the hostess station and scrolled through social media on her phone. Despite these issues, we still love Uccello’s and will definitely return, although I was disappointed on such a special celebration day.
