While staying at the beautiful Chateau de la Barre in Conflans-sur-Anille, our hostess recommended Pertica and made a reservation for us, as she and her husband are great fans of this restaurant - recently awarded a Michelin star.A husband & wife venture (he cooks, she greets and serves), Pertica is unlike any restaurant I've been to before. You order a certain number of courses - but not specific dishes. You're asked about allergies, and then you sit-back to see what you'll be served. It all depends on what was hyper-fresh in the market that day, and what the chef feels like preparing. Chances are you'll be pleasantly startled, and then seduced by the flavors and textures of the somewhat mysterious-looking offerings presented to you. Frankly, nothing that I ate at Pertica was quite like anything I had ever eaten before, but I enjoyed each and every bite.This is decidedly NOT a restaurant for anyone seeking traditional French cuisine. But if you enjoy new dining experiences, chances are you'll be glad you reserved a table at Pertica.

It's all about the packaging and presentation. Basic products, dry bread, amazingly small portions (even for French standards). This is an excessively disappointing experience. To avoid by any means.
