We stumbled across the beautiful medieval village and restaurant at 3pm today (Sunday) and experienced great food and service. In the UK ir France you have 6 or 12 snails.. we had over 40, all in a very tasteful garnish/sauce. Calamari tasted very fresh. Happily recommend.
An amazing restaurant that we visited with our great friends Jorge and Carlotta from #Welcome Emporda. Great food brilliant service from great people big thank you to Emili and Jordi for looking after us so well.
Perfect lunch: tasty plentiful food excellent service! Staying in local masía just out of Ullastret and whilst visiting the village for our daily bread we noticed Can Quel.. bustling from early morning with people having coffee and pastries in the sun so thought we would try for lunch. So glad we did. Excellent choice of food in terms of quality, range and price. Food came very quickly and everything we ordered was delicious (in no particular order mushroom croquettes, calamari, bacalau salad, sausage, ribs, tomato and burrata, aubergines and garlic shrimp… and in a distinctly un-Spanish way.. lots of vegetables and salad with the dishes! Couldn’t single out a favourite and can only assume that, given our random choices, everything else would be equally as tasty! Less than €70 for 7 large plates, bread, 1 bottle rosé and 2 bottles of water. Please pop in and try.. you won’t regret it!
