Now it was even better, did not feel rushed but rather like a neighborhood restaurant where everyone is very friendly and kind but also with a very good knowledge about wines and the food. We will come here more often as I was too disappointed in other places

I have just witnessed a very aggressive customer, clearly high on cocaine, go out of his way to unjustifiably attempt to threaten and intimidate a customer (2 v... read more I have just witnessed a very aggressive customer, clearly high on cocaine, go out of his way to unjustifiably attempt to threaten and intimidate a customer (2 very civilised gentlemen c.mid 30s) on an adjacent table. The aggressor in this situation continued to raise unfair accusation that his girlfriend, some 50 year old lady, had been the recipient of flirtatious glances of admiration from one of the gentlemen on the adjacent table. Recognising the apparent age difference between the two men and the lady in mention and the fact the two men were engrossed in catching up as friends, this was clearly not the case. The poor service of Gaucho management became extremely evident at the point in which, the gentleman who in this situation was the victim and calmly removed himself from the aggressive situation, was then targeted by gaucho management and asked to leave. Unbelievable that such a gentlemanly approach should be penalised following the actions of a hooligan, resulting in the hooligan being able to remain at his table. I doubt the gentlemen will return, I know I certainly will not and I most certainly will ensure that my associates are made aware that should they encounter an aggressor at Canary Wharf Gaucho, Canary Wharf Gaucho will make zero effort to manage the situation effectively. It is clear that this branch clearly supports aggressive customers and has no intention in towards making people feel secure and comfortable in a relaxing and calm environment when dining with them. I am gobsmacked to witness such an event and outcome!

The food and drinks were absolutely delightful, and the atmosphere made it even better. While I felt the prices were a bit on the high side, the quality of what I had definitely justified it. Overall, I walked away with a full stomach and a big smile, thanks to the warm greetings and thoughtful recommendations throughout my visit. I'll definitely be returning!
