Description

Steam Kitchen offers a unique blend of American and Asian fusion cuisine created by Chef Marcus Meacham. Located in the Italian Village area, this well-equipped food stand is known for its signature sandwiches made with large, cloud-like Chinese steamed buns. Served in Chinese takeout boxes with pickles and chips, these sandwiches are priced conveniently from $8-$11. The separate condiments section offers options like Sriracha and duck sauce, and popular sandwich choices include the slaw thigh, Korean cheese steak, and pineapple shrimp. The standout feature of Steam Kitchen is the flavorful combination of Asian spices, sauces, and meats in their dishes.

First time trying to have nice basic carrot/corn broth to steam cook crab, lobster, vegetable and eel at the table. Non greasy and you even don't need to add any sauce it. Other than this, they have other good dishes and again non greasy. The stuffed steam duck and deep fried chicken wing with sticky rice stuffing are very good. With less greasy dishes, I don't feel the same fullness as compare to other Chinese restaurant. Definitely will go back again.

I was surprised by the negative reviews, but I must have ordered the right dishes because I really enjoyed the food. The cooking here was to my liking.

I had a mix of good and bad experiences at Steam Kitchen. The highlight was definitely the food.

We specifically come to this restaurant for the lobster vermicelli dish. It is always busy, so I suggest making a reservation in advance, but expect to be seated closely to other diners.
