Dropped in for an early dinner with the friend on a Saturday, it was super busy. Atmosphere is warm and very fun, the place seems on the upscale side of things. Ordered the Margherita pizza to try and it was an up-there pizza, my only complaint would be that the cheese seemed to runny off the pizza even after it had time to set but it is still very very good. Staff are super friendly and I'd go back again to try some of their other dishes (always check their specials).
Conzo's is the sister restaurant to sugo next door, and is in a much larger space. They even take reservations. however, their resos fill up quick, so be sure to call at least a few days in advance. We ended up not being able to get a reso for Saturday around 6:30pm, so we showed up in person to get on the waitlist. The host said the wait could be up to 2 hours as they were still waiting on resos. We decided to wait bc there were only a few tables ahead of us and we banked on the fact that some resos would be no shows. Luckily, that's exactly what happened and we got a table after waiting 30 45 min. They should probably rethink their reservation policy, or not take reso's at all (like sugo). Interesting thing is that the pizza's take ~25 30 min from start to finish which causes the backlog. But the pizza is very good, and definitely holds its own against top NYC pizza joints. Crust has a good thickness to it and the toppings are loaded on. We got the Manlia and the special for the day, clam pizza w a white sauce. both were very good but anything with pepperoni and jalepenos is my favourite. also ordered mozza sticks and meatballs, would probably skip next time, these were ok the tomato sauce for both were the stars. Like Sugo, service is impeccable, frinedly and fast! they want to turnover the tables asap so they are always on the ball.
Pizza is super big and very delicious. I would easily give them 5/5. The portion is huge and one pizza easily serves two people. $35 flat rate for all pizzas) we ordered Bitondo with artichokes and bacon plus Vinny Massimo with pepperoni, mushroom, onion, and basil. We asked not to add jalapeno. Both were great. My friends liked the latter, but I prefered the former. Thepasta was also delicious. Nice rose sauce on top of Canestri, chives, and padano. $19) They need 25 mins to prepare it. Itmight seem like a long wait time but you will get a high quality pizza at the end. They charge you for their dip 2.5$ extra).I would rather see one dip included. We had Basil pesto and garlic, and to me basil was the best. Definitely come back here.
Pepperoni Pizza- tomato sauce is from next-door (Sugo), pepperoni is from Detroit, just a bit spicy and great flavour, and then a sprinkle of Parmesan on top
Soo good! We had dinner here on Friday night and although the wait was a little longer than expected it was all worth it when the pizzas hit the table. They were superb! We had Little Italy and Vinny Massimo both were amazing. The pasta was fantastic andthe mozz sticks as well. We also had the burrata which was OK compared to the rest of the items. The sauce on the pizzas wasjust another level, amazing. The tiramisu was good too, 7/10. (I may just be spoilt for tiramisu though, it's worth tryinghere). The cocktails were also good! The vibe is great once you're inside and the staff are super nice too. Highly recommendthis spot if you're looking for a good pizza in town. Just beware that the place doesn't do reservations so make sure to putyour name down as soon as possible (esp on Friday/weekends). Rest assured it's worth the wait.
