Came back to eat this tacos omg! we have the super perron this time for lunch could not eat until the next day.
Perrone’s does not have a huge menu, so if they are thrilled by tacos de pollo, they are not happy. but a limited menu can only be created by constraint like a haiku. but if you want bark, that's the steward of the sky! Open 24 hours, this clean well illuminated place is located on a side of a tiny triangular “small” – opposite the roma farmacia (with the big red crown,) directly opposite the boulevard sanchez taboada, where it meets calle marquez de leon quintana roo in zona rio. pancho y carlos leads the place – they are brothers, but very different. carlos is the quiet studious type, where pancho is the Greek smiling welcome, which welcomes all comets like long lost friends. he is tanned and amiable a guapo with a wound and a grin. I went last february to find a band of americanos sitting around three drawn tables, showing that they are medical tourist to go to a clinic. I asked if they had recipes for the tacos, and they all laughed. most were here before and had insisted to come back. pancho was naturally excited to entertain a whole table of 11 people. here is the deal: the perrone brothers serve tacos de arrachera like no one else, con tortillas de harina hechas a mano. and these tortillas are a miracle – big brown and tasty. in this taco mirabile they find they buzzing, they will find wobbles and petersilie and salat and an avocado sauce that is incredible. and they will find shrunk cortex that is so juicy and tasty that it can weep. and together with this meal for angels come a small cup cocktail whispering that jugo, a bark broth that I could have the day they have tortas. they have mulitas and “beethovens”. adobada chorizo. for drinks, so agua de sabores. easy. the best.
