Marenca is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in TJ. Very classy establishment, but allows for casual dress attire--the staff are incredibly friendly and our waitress went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The menu is in Spanish, and sadly, we are not fluent so she made excellent recommendations based on what we like. They offer complimentary pastries and baked goods as soon as you sit down--they are fresh and delicious! We started with quesadillas and they were outstanding. My husband had the steak and eggs, which was extremely flavorful and I had the shrimp Diablo chilaquilles with the perfect amount of heat! We look forward to our next visit.
