We made an early reservation and the staff was really friendly. The food was good, and the place was quite busy during our visit. If you're looking for a meal that is reasonably priced but still of good quality, I recommend trying the Basset Dog.

Great lunch here today. fish was slightly big enough to satisfy me, and the muddy peas were the best I had in a long time very tasty and (more important) not dry. the other half had the open buck that she thought was filling and tasty. the staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was cheerful. would recommend this pub every day for lunch.

Beautiful summer evening, the traditional morris dancing observed, with the sun slowly behind the trees, very English, friendly and peaceful. pub well maintained and welcoming, seated in the open, large parking lot (but in no case empty! electric car charging points available.

Lovely pub, good service, decent Sunday roast at a good price. Served quickly and food was quick to the table. Paid £50 for 4 Sunday roasts and a small bowl of mashed potato for my baby granddaughter.
