Domingo's Mexican Seafood - Tehachapi
Domingo's Mexican Seafood
Description
Comfortable, casual spot serving Americanized Mexican staples — tacos, enchiladas, burritos and carnitas — with well-priced margaritas and a pleasant atmosphere. Regulars praise dependable favorites, attentive allergy-aware service, and ample free parking, but experiences vary: service can be uneven, some dishes (notably the queso) disappoint, and occasional online pricing discrepancies have left customers frustrated. Best for budget-conscious families and groups seeking lively, reliable Mexican-style fare rather than strict regional authenticity.

I've been fortunate to grow up with this restaurant. No matter what's happening in life, the exceptionally friendly staff here always make me feel welcome. I know that this will always be one of my favorite restaurants for a lifetime. The bartenders are excellent! I made a special trip to come here, and if you want a great experience, this is the place to be. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it's truly a blessing to have such a fun and enlightening spot in the community. Thank you for the memories, especially the one with Domingo, captured in this picture of my brother wearing a sombrero nearly 20 years ago. It’s a treasured moment from the bottom of my heart!
We enjoyed a lovely lunch here. The margaritas were outstanding, especially the strawberry margarita, which was a favorite. We snacked on corn chips and salsa. The menu features the typical and popular Mexican dishes, but it also includes options like omelets, which were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Overall, I plan to return and would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates excellent Mexican cuisine. The prices were also reasonable and not overly expensive.
I have an allergy to cilantro, which is why I don't often go to Mexican restaurants. However, I decided to visit M, and I was pleasantly surprised. The Cadillac margaritas were delicious, and I appreciated how attentive the staff was regarding my allergy. They managed to handle the orders for our party of seven, which is no small feat!
Ordered queso and they brought a boiling bowl of cheese and peppers. It was heated to the point the cheese separated into stringy mess. This was the worst queso I have had in 70 years. When I talked to the wait staff they said this was how they made it. Hey the Margaritas were good and only 6 bucks. I gave the two stars because my wife said her tamales were good.
