This type of restaurant is truly a gem. They offer fresh bread baked on-site and delicious hot pies. During my visit, I tried the breakfast sandwich on the freshest bread I have ever tasted. The restaurant was bustling with customers, which is no surprise. If you're in the area, definitely give it a try - much better than a chain like Greggs!
The best breakfast sandwich I can think of is the spam and egg sandwich from this place, but other than that, it is nothing special.
I have autism and anxiety and I have trouble remembering things, but when I went to the restaurant, the staff had no patience for me. I had to call my mom for help, and when I asked for one sandwich with butter and one without, the lady's attitude was disgraceful. She seemed frustrated and made me feel small. I ended up not even getting the sandwiches because of her lack of patience. I wanted to ask for a refund, but the lady sarcastically thanked me when I paid with my card. It doesn't take much to be nice and patient with customers.
Amazing food, made fresh every single day and an amazing family business. They have pies to sandwiches to bread to deserts!
Pies are sandwiches are always excellent... The view on the other side of the counter is always excellent too.. Great place for food.
