The Latch in Waterford has a lot of unrealized potential, situated in a lovely location with a cozy atmosphere. Despite some shortcomings like a limited menu and subpar service, the food is quite good, with standout dishes like the ice cream and sausage salad. While some diners experienced issues with reservations and pricing discrepancies, overall, The Latch offers excellent homemade-style meals at reasonable prices with helpful staff. The bustling atmosphere and flavorful Irish dishes make it a perfect spot for a Sunday dinner. The restaurant has room to improve, but shows promise for a great dining experience.

The mushroom soup lacked flavor and was diluted, and the beef was small and dry. Overall, the meal was not satisfactory. The lone server during lunchtime seemed overwhelmed and unfriendly. Additionally, the bathroom opening directly into the dining area was unhygienic.
A three-course dinner at this restaurant in the middle of the day is always a great deal. I used to go every Sunday for two years, but now I only stop by occasionally. The staff is friendly and efficient, providing lovely service. The menu offers amazing value and delicious food. I dined there twice over the weekend.
Such amazing staff, unbeleivable food especially the chicken burger. Such a lovely cozy place, Would highly recommend.
