Ming Hing - Syracuse
Ming Hing
Description
Ming Hing offers a mixed experience, blending commendable service with inconsistent food quality. While many diners praise the quick preparation and friendly staff, others express disappointment over portion sizes and rigid menu policies, particularly regarding extra charges for rice and vegetable swaps. Some find the dishes lacking in flavor on their recent visits, yet many remain loyal, citing fantastic taste and value for money. Although there are areas for improvement, the overall sentiment leans towards a recommendation for those seeking a swift bite in a welcoming environment. A visit to Ming Hing might just surprise you, for better or worse.

Feedback
The food is decent but not particularly impressive. The portion sizes are absurd; they simply place a few pieces of meat on a bed of rice or lo mein and label it as a dinner combo.
I’ve had a frustrating experience at this restaurant. Even if you spend a lot of money there, you get harassed if you don't pick up your order within 10 minutes. The staff keeps calling you repeatedly, which is just absurd. Plus, regardless of how much you spend or how long you have been a customer, they won’t let you swap out vegetables, and they charge $4 extra for things like mushrooms. An extra quart of white rice costs at least $7, which seems outrageous considering it probably costs them mere pennies. I’ve lived in both Binghamton and Cazenovia, and I’ve never encountered this kind of treatment in those places. There, an extra quart of rice was only $1, they were happy to let you switch vegetables, and if they did charge for extra veggies, it was just $1.
