The pizzas and beers were wonderful. All the ingredients are fresh, local and they will make the pizza almost any way you would like it. The staff is friendly, nice, and welcoming.
There are several pizzerias in Sulmona and this is possibly the best if you prefer high quality local ingredients. You can choose a basic pizza such as Margherita and then, if you wish, add Abruzzese specialities such as percorino cheese, mushrooms, prosciutto ham and so...on. Pizzas are the thinner and crispy versions often known as pizza Romana style scrumptious! Really good value, too, compared to some of the competition round about. Indoors has a slightly quirky and retro music decor and there is, also, plenty of space at the back to sit outside. It is situated more or less opposite the Church of the Annunciata, right in the heart of Sulmona but a few yards off the main Corso Ovidio. Take away or eat inside we will be back, for sure. Highly recommended.
We came in indecisive, take away or stay and decided to stay. They have the most complete cheese and salumi appetizer I have tried on my two week stay in Abruzzo. They bring out the appetizer with fresh focaccia. All their ingredients are local specialties...and are delicious. The pizzas were great too. This restaurant is great for kids (they have a great patio with cool, reclaimed furnishings) and later on for groups of friends. Our waitress was incredibly kind to our small child.
Great welcome and pizza! the base you choose, as well as all the other ingredients (the choice is wide and fresh products) not recommended for the undecided!
