I've only eaten here once so far. The server was very helpful, he guided me through the menu and warned me of the size of many on the dishes (I was by myself). Many of the dishes are family style (one large portion). So bring a group to best enjoy this place. I tried the spicy fish skewers, which had 5 or 6 skewers, a large pot of broth and vegetables, and a bowl of rice. It was good and had the right amount of spici... View all feedback.
What Jo L doesn't like about Oseyo:
FOODWe ordered the chicken bites and the regular tteokbokki with ramyun for a total of $38. It is on the pricy side but the amount given is generous. We couldn't finish the portions and ended up bringing most of it home with us in complementary containers.SERVICEThe staff are kind and friendly.AMBIANCEK-Pop music serves as the ambient music in the restaurant. This place def has that drink and eat a lot with friends vibe, particularly for late nights and weekends. My friend and I didn't know that and came for dinner. Music was obviously loud and the restaurant was dark, which is perfect for that vibe. We only wished we had more friends with us and planned on drinking, so we could order a lot of food. Everything was so satisfying, and there was so much food. Definitely worth the price. I will definitely come again with the right mindset next time, especially to try more things.
Dont order the eel. The worst eel we have ever had. We all took one bite and couldnt eat it anymore. We left most of the dish untouched and the server didnt even ask if there was a problem with the food.
This place used to have the best Carbonara I've ever had. But now the recipe seems different and it seems skimpy and not as good. Which is very unfortunate because it was delicious, now it's just kind of meh. And it seems that change has occurred with most menu items.I used to love getting food from here and would recommend it to friends but now it feels kind of mediocre.
We ordered $150 worth of food. Most of them were served on time. We always order a plate of assorted seafood 해물한상 as well. The assorted seafood took over an hour, to the point we finished everything we had ordered and to ask where our order was. At this point, I wasn 't thrilled. I was told it is getting ready and that they are busy. Sure, there were 4 tables. And when it was served, there was barely any cheese on the Mussels, and shrimps were extremely tiny like the ones you 'd use for fried rice.Mind you, I 've been coming here with friends almost every week or two, and it 's been our absolute favorite. And the guy who usually takes care of our orders and food have been fantastic. We asked the waitress who said she 's the manager, didn 't even apologize for how late it was served, nor how it was different from the ingredients a few weeks ago when we asked. She simply said, that 's how It 's been made and served, so there 's nothing we can do about it. And I 'm thinking.. okay, so they literally changed and downgraded the ingredients within the last two weeks. I had this dish 3 times last month alone. Then I showed pictures how they were served every time we were here. Then she was giving us attitude that 's how it is, and at this point we didn 't really want this dish anymore despite the fact that we waited over an hour for this plate to the point we have finished rest of the food(corn cheese, sodduck, stir fried octopus and pork, chicken teriyaki, bulgogi stew, etc.)Not sure what to make out of this, since the guy who usually takes care of us have been nothing but fantastic, and we 've always left generous tips for great services. But the waitress/manager was extremely unapologetic when the order was late beyond a reasonable amount of time, and we asked why ingredients were served differently today, only to face with tone against customers. I 'm deeply disappointed by how we were treated, rather than making us feel like we should come back here.
We ordered the rose tteokbokki and sea snail salad with noodles. The tteokbokki was slightly overcooked but the sea snails and noodles were just right. We asked for some lemon (for the soju) and the staff went above and beyond by bringing a small plate of lemon slices. There weren't that many people on a Sunday night when we went, which was surprising considering how packed the plaza parking lot was. The best thing about this pocha was their music selection (2010-2019 ballads). Paired with some soju, this is just the quaint little place for catching up with friends and having heart to heart talks.
