And great burger and chips.friendly locals(as I’m very outgoing) and nicely tucked away , like a proper forget Cotswold pub . Work clothes where acceptable

It was busy and we enjoyed a drink in the garden before... read more On a family trip we booked an evening meal. Traditional pub with a great atmosphere and friendly locals. It was busy and we enjoyed a drink in the garden before eating inside. The food was excellent. I had a steak which was cooked to perfection. My granddaughter had a cheese burger and my wife had lasagne. The real ale was kept to perfection. However the star of the show was Sophie and her kitchen team. Sophie was welcoming and a great host. She looked after us throughout the evening and was funny and charming. If you're in the area drop in for a drink but make sure you book if you want to eat.

Our families tried the beef, pork, vegetarian, and vegan nut roasts and everyone loved the delicious food and the perfectly cooked vegetables. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and the indoor and outdoor seating options with beautiful scenery made for a truly fabulous dining experience. We highly recommend this place for Sunday lunch.
