This was our second visit to Spiaggetta, and once again, we were not disappointed. Everything—from the service to the appetizers and entrees—was fantastic! If you’re a fan of traditional Italian cuisine, the trippe is absolutely out of this world. Marco's mother prepares this dish, and you can truly taste the love and care that goes into a homemade meal.
We always have a wonderful time at Spiaggetta and make it a point to dine there every time we visit Stone Harbor/Avalon. It has become a family tradition to have our first dinner at the Shore there! Our kids have loved the kids' spaghetti and meatballs since they were in highchairs, and now they’ve graduated to enjoying adult entrees like the Pappalina, which features delicious homemade pasta. We also all savor the crispy fried calamari served with a zesty marinara sauce. My husband and I like to share a seasonal appetizer; this week, it was a focaccia board with burrata and grilled peaches. For our main courses, I tried the Norcina for the first time, while he opted for the Sunday Gravy. Both dishes were absolutely delightful! I’ve always enjoyed the classic Roman dish Cacio e Pepe, which is a reliable favorite. The staff consistently provide prompt and attentive service, and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. It’s a bit more upscale than most Shore eateries, but it’s dressy in a casual way—think sundress and collared shirt, not jacket and tie. We can't recommend it highly enough!
We were warmly welcomed by the owner, which immediately made us feel valued as guests and gave us confidence in the quality of the restaurant. The service was exceptional, and the menu offered a wide variety of choices. Our salads were generous enough for two, featuring fresh greens and homemade dressing. The pasta dishes, including orecchiette, bucatini, and spaghetti with different sauces, were all excellent. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine, you need to look no further.
