Bao’s Cafe offers flavorful, fresh Chinese cuisine that impresses both longtime patrons and first-time visitors. Popular dishes like orange chicken, BBQ pork, and wonton soup receive high praise for their taste and quality. The restaurant provides a cozy setting ideal for quick lunches or casual dates, with attentive service and hot, promptly served meals. Weekend lunch combos add value to the experience. However, some customers have reported serious concerns regarding food safety, including the presence of foreign objects, which has led to hesitation about returning. While the food shines, addressing these issues is crucial to fully restore diner confidence.
Perfect place for a quick bite or a small date. I got my favorite wonton soup to begin with as it was a bit windy and cold out followed by the fried steak with the orange sauce on the side. The meat was so crispy and soft on the inside, I highly recommend this plate!
I been here 3 times and will keep coming. Everyone is very polite and the food very delicious I like the fact that once the food is out they bring it to you hot and ready to eat.
First time visiting Bao?s Cafe, and I am surprised with how wonderful the food tasted. Definitely gonna come back and I recommend this place for those who are looking for great Chinese food.
Absolutely delicious. I stopped by Bao's Cafe on a whim one Monday around 2 pm, and I was practically the only person there, making for a peaceful lunch. What really surprised me was the food. I expected typical greasy Chinese takeout, which I was craving, but the flavors were incredible. I ordered the BBQ pork appetizer and the orange chicken lunch. The wonton soup looked ordinary at first, but it was packed with flavor and very satisfying. The BBQ pork was tender and rich, served with a tangy sauce that was fantastic. The orange chicken was equally flavorful and tender—none of that unpleasantly chewy or mushy texture you sometimes get. I’m honestly upset I’m moving away soon because Bao’s is a hidden gem you shouldn’t miss. Everything was fresh and delicious!
We placed a take-out order through their online system, but it didn't refresh correctly, which made us unsure about when our food would arrive. After making a phone call, we managed to get an update on our order. The food is quite tasty for casual comfort eating—ideal for when you don't feel like cooking or want something laid-back instead of upscale. We tried the Seafood Deluxe, Mushroom Tofu, Beef Pepper, and Hot and Sour Soup.
