I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. I visited with my partner and our young son, who usually makes a mess in every pub or restaurant and protests about the lack of food options. However, we were quickly served our drinks and food. My partner and I both ordered the baked lasagna, which was amazing! For its location next to a busy shopping mall we should of guessed by how quiet it was for a Saturday evening that it wasn't going to be anything special. The welcome and staff was good. The food however was nothing to write home about. Our lasagne was very dry, very much felt like it was out of the freezer and re-heated, it certainly wasn't fresh. Fabulous lunch today with the family my roast beef was tender and plenty of it, my 8 year old had the children’s turkey and she ate everything even her vegetables
Great service by friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious. Very good value for money. Definitely recommend the place.
I have eaten at the Kitchen several times, sometimes just with my husband, but also in a large family group. It is a great venue, providing a varied menu and catering for all dietary requirements and all ages, as well as being really convenient for the lovely shopping centre and gardens. The staff are really friendly and attentive, and the service is great. The seating is comfortable and the background music is audible but not too loud, providing a comfortable environment for a relaxing meal and good conversation. In summer, we have eaten outside, in a very pretty and safe enclosed area, under a canopy to provide shade when required. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Just visited The Kitchen. A pleasant welcome from wonderful staff. The food (mixed grill and a sirloin steak) was well cooked and very tasty. The meat quality is excellent and it is so good to get a chef that can cook a 'well done ' steak without completely burning it. Well done guys, keep up the high standards. we will be back.
