I’m not sure the term is used a lot in Solvang but this restaurant is stylish in all respects. The decor is sleek and the seating is comfortable and spacious. The vibe is more cosmopolitan than other places in town. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the beurre blanc was classy, We enjoyed our cocktails and the Alejandra was warm and checked up on us often. Nicely done View all feedback.
What K C doesn't like about Mad Vin:
It doesn’t seem to matter when you try to go we can never get a table (despite more than half of the tables being open). Constantly being told they are short staffed and it’s evident when we do actually eat there. Service is always lagging. Food is decent burger is very good. Just wish they could get their act together. View all feedback.
Limited but high quality breakfast menu. Even has gluten free pancakes. No espresso, just filter coffee. On the expensive side.
Hanger steak arrived raw ordered medium) and overwhelmed with black pepper. It was very disappointing. 100+ dollars not well spent.
A very competent menu and just a lovely place to grab dinner and a drink. The standouts are the duck fat fries, the cioppino, and some of their rotating brunch items (the skillet huevos rancheros when they have ‘em).There’ll be something for everyone, and you can comfortably sit inside or outside, and not have to fight Solvang’s windy and chilly evenings.

The restaurant located inside the inn, nice atmosphere, cozy with fireplace. Great services and food served very quick on the weekday night.We ordered Caesar salad and Bucatini pasta mushroom sauce. We are very impressed from quality of both dishes and how fresh they tasted. Certainly the spot to revisit and recommend to our friends.
