In the first 15 minutes, I witnessed a few kitchen mishaps (like dropped plates), cooks who were so overwhelmed they had to slow down the seating, and locals ch... read more In the first 15 minutes, I witnessed a few kitchen mishaps (like dropped plates), cooks who were so overwhelmed they had to slow down the seating, and locals chatting with the staff about upcoming events. I genuinely felt at home here, and the food was simply fantastic and reasonably priced—where else can you find this anymore? Well, you'll find it at the Tastee Diner. The coffee was excellent, and the waitstaff was friendly and engaging. The food might not be the healthiest choice, but you'll definitely leave with a smile! I opted for steak and over-easy eggs with a side of hash browns instead of a yogurt fruit parfait. They do have healthier options, but let’s be honest—it’s a diner, and it’s all about indulgence! Just go for it!

Maybe because of staffing issues; maybe because of the time of day....This really wasn't what I expected. My bacon was too hard. My wife's bacon was too soft. We didn't get water or soda refilled. My wife didn't get her pancake until, basically,after the meal was over. Service was slow. I only gave a 3 because of the history of the Diner.
