The staff enthusiastically said hello and thanked me for using my free cone coupon—without the usual grumpiness you might expect. There was upbeat music playing, and the team laughed and interacted like they were a group of high school friends who had opened a restaurant together. Despite the fun vibe, their professionalism was top-notch. Feeling at ease, I decided to stay and eat. The bowl was delicious, and I noticed that everyone who came through during that hour seemed to leave in a better mood. As I walked out, I wanted to share with strangers how great my lunch experience was! There are meals that are simply good, and then there are meals that make you smile and feel happy inside. Who doesn't like rice, meat and vegetables? I personally think Shophouse offers a more balanced taste profile than the other two mentioned places. The proteins and sauces are great and the papaya chick and picking vegetables go well with every bowl.
