Description

This small‑town saloon in Sidney, Illinois, is a lively local hub famed for hearty burgers, fried pickles, generous portions and fair prices. Friendly, family‑style bartenders, live music and clean restrooms create a welcoming vibe; a partially enclosed smoking room and spacious seating suit performers and regulars. Diners praise fresh, sizable meals but note occasional long waits and inconsistent service when busy. Serious concerns have been reported about billing errors and a discriminatory incident, so prospective guests should be aware.

We stopped in looking for an out of the way place to get a quick bite and get out of the heat. It was a fairly standard bar menu of appetizers and sandwiches. The bar is very typical of a small town. There was plenty of seating since we were the only ones not at the bar. The bartender/server was polite and friendly. She took our order quickly and checked on us often. The food was fresh and hot, the Philly cheesesteak was huge. Prices for the entire menu were very reasonable. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was the country music and uncomfortable stares from the locals.

We didn't eat there, but we sang as an acoustic duo. We were treated well by the staff, and the audience seemed to appreciate us. Although we didn't eat, we saw many happy patrons enjoy their meals. Atmosphere: 5

Went here with 3 buddies (all 3 of us being African Americans) overall the night was going good. Then once it was time to close our tab we were charged for 11 fireballs, 6 crown and cokes, and 3 Budweiser which was insane. Especially when none of us even drink Budweiser, one of us was on a bike then other 2 had to drive home. THATS NOT EVEN THE WORSE PART. After exchanging words with I believe to be the owners daughter or owner not sure we went outside to cool off. THEN she comes outside to argue AFTER PAYING THE TAB then proceeded to tell us “Niggers” that we weren’t welcomed anymore. Price per person: $50–100 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
