It is a place of gastrorgasm.A medium to small size restaurant (best to call for reservation), well priced in the medium range, with a very friendly and caring service, lovely classic music, nice view and...that food! We had 5 courses: two soups, two meat dishes and desert. All deliciously simple till the very end. Well balanced flavours, particularly the exotic ones, carefully blended textures, the right amount in the plate. On top of all this, the wine recommendation was just perfect to suit all of the above.A must know detail: the menu is rather limited, yet well selected dishes are there to suit almost all tastes. And several dishes are replaced with new ones almost every week. A great concept considering the gastronomic experience this place offers.Capsicum has made it 1st place on my list in Sibiu. And top 3 in Romania. Well done!

There is a dinamic menu which fits on a small blackboard inside the restaurant - two soups, two salads, six main dishes and two deserts.The design of the place is somewhat industrial- but nice and cosy. The view you have by looking through the large windows is towards a small green square garden.The classic music selection is superb and the service is indeed excellent.While the food - the food is quite amazing. I had the potato and boletus mushrooms cream soup - discrete but full of flavour, really good.I also had duck breast with oranges - tender, well seasoned, simple and superb.We also had a glass if wine, recommended by the house - Livia, a smooth sauvignon blanc and a 16th century recipe desert - Santiago almond baked cake - the excelent end to our launch.So, if you are in search of some place special to dine in Sibiu, where the meal is made with care and with excellent taste, try out Capsicum.
