Best halibut I have ever had. Really. Chowder is amazing. First time I have had rhubarb cake. They grow the rhubarb in their garden next to the lettuce and broccoli etc. Everything was so fresh. Their recipes are passed down from previous generations as homesteaders! Charming and rustic outdoor setting for dining from very charming food wagon. Right near the water at Lowell point. This was our first time in Alaska we had just gotten off of a cruise and spending a a few days in Seward) and we feel so lucky to have eaten there. For the quality and flavor of the food which was exceptional, it washed also very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in Seward. No liquor license yet so bring your own if you would like a drink. No corkage fee! I very rarely write reviews but felt compelled because it is a place people really need to check out!

The Hungry Halibut is a local gem. Tucked in Miller's Landing (2 miles down a gravel road behind the Sea Life Center) this food truck was a pure delight. The food was fresh and locally caught fish; the fries were piping hot, the milk shake was yummy and the rhubarb cake came topped with freshly whipped cream. The setting is spectacular and pure Alaskan. I highly recommend the Hungry Halibut.

WOW! Do yourself a favor and make a short drive to this lovely food truck restaurant and check it out! They've got a great menu that features not only fresh halibut or salmon, but they also have salads, burgers, beef hot dogs, reindeer hotdogs, milkshakes, and breakfast items that they serve ALL day! The price of the salmon or halibut is $17, which is literally half the price of what you would pay in town. All other prices for salads and burgers was super reasonable. Burgers were $10 and hot dogs were $5-$6. They also had a variety of desserts to choose from such a molten chocolate cake or rhubarb cake. While you enjoy your meal, you get an amazing view of the bay. Do yourselves a favor and check this place out! You really won't regret it.

Excellent food stand on Lowell Point, south of Seward on Resurrection Bay. We tried the grilled and fried halibut- both are excellent! The fish came with a choice of either coleslaw with pineapple or Mexican rice. Both sides were tasty. The service was very good. They take both cash and credit card.

Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to visit this restaurant. One day it was listed as open on Yelp, and the next day it was temporarily closed for an unknown reason. Its description and reviews piqued our interest, and we were eager to try it. Perhaps we'll have better luck the next time we're in Seward. Its off-the-beaten-path location and status as a local business also caught our attention.
