Formerly known as the Hideaway, this place has now transformed into Gruddyz, and it’s a must-visit! Their wings and burgers are absolutely fantastic. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re truly missing out. Plus, they offer local delivery!
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere—quiet and friendly—and they make an outstanding Bloody Mary!
Someone really needs to learn how to properly mix cleaning chemicals. The overwhelming smell of bleach was painful to my throat, and it's concerning given how toxic bleach can be if not handled correctly. To make matters worse, my steak was overcooked; I asked for it to be medium, but it arrived well done. The salad was uninspired—a mix of just iceberg lettuce, cheese, and croutons, with a few bits of purple cabbage thrown in. The jalapeño poppers were subpar as well: burnt on the outside, with raw and crunchy pepper inside, and the cream cheese looked more like cottage cheese and was served cold. This is not a place I would ever return to or recommend. The signage is confusing, to say the least. It says "Grubbys" on the east banner outside, but inside it's called "The Hideaway," while the sign above the door reads "Severence Key." It also claims to be family-friendly, but it resembles more of a liquor store, and I would never take my kids to a place like this. Overall, I left with nothing positive to say about my experience.
