Beautiful setting and view. The food was amazing, I had the bacalhau. All neatly served by friendly waiters. Only problem… when I asked for a good local dry wine and showing 30 EUR bottles on the list I was given the most expensive bottle on the menu without being informed… Only found out on the bill View all feedback.
This place has it all: Lovely food (the fish soup and bean stew starters and the steak mains were excellent) The friendliest staff where every interaction comes with a warm smile A fantastic sea view, that was magnificent even on a rainy, stormy day. Make sure you book ahead!
This was one of our top two meals on Pico. The restaurant is classy without being fussy. We started with broad bean stew, rich fish soup and creamy vegetable soup. We then split pica pau (steak tips in a mustard sauce with pickles), ginger tuna and puriflor (cauliflower puree with grilled zucchini and mushrooms), plus glasses of Terras do Lava red and Lua Cheia red. For dessert, we had two layered desserts: lime mousse and orange mousse cake. Everything was fabulous and, despite the misty weather, even we had a faint view of São Jorge across the channel, plus we could see the waves crashing against Pico’s shoreline.
Nem um único defeito, a comida é deliciosa (menu pequeno mas mais que suficiente) comemos umas entradas que eram um pouco de manteiga, azeite e dois cremes, um tipo sobrasada e outro com peixe (tipo atum), uma tábua de queijos e polvo (pode derreter na boca) de sobremesa um brownie de chocolate com gelado e dois cafés grandes (35€ para duas pessoas) Os garçons charmosos e o ambiente perfeito, era março, estava frio lá fora e o restaurante era super bom.
Vinho 5 estrelas. Pena só servir entradas ao almoço durante a semana.
