We tried almost every dish on the menu but were disappointed that they all tasted the same. The chicken was poorly marinated and the same masala seemed to be used for every dish, including the prawns. We were recommended a dish that was supposed to be super spicy, but it turned out to be sweeter than butter chicken. The pasta was the only highlight. The cocktails and mocktails were just okay, as we have had better elsewhere. The chicken peri peri was the worst dish of all. Overall, the ambience was nice but we were surprised by the hype surrounding this place. It may be that the chef was not present, but we still had to pay for the overpriced dishes.
Eating in ignia is like sitting on a “Marchan” on a platform that was discovered around ed and over the canone of cocos and giant trees that surround it. the zungenzwitscher one named despite ignia is a true fund discovered after. a recommendation, you need a vehicle to open this embarrassment of riches, and the menu is something to die. the cocktails are varied and exciting and the rest of the products offered makes a choice. during lunch was ignia relatiw empty, but we are sure that the evenings and weekends are packed. the service is good and the prices are vereasonable. the view of the “Machan” could never have been better.
Landed this remote area trying to choose a place to dine on this rainy day...choose ignea over another one...no regrets.. First time ever had a hot(warm) cocktail and went well on this rainy nite.. The food was super..the apple walnut salad was awesome so also...the mash potato that we ordered as accompaniment with the grilled food. The place even though open was not damp and has a unique way of serving the grill..I think every table has a centre opening where they set a lit coal grill into the slot and you then place your served skewers...for a few minutes before eating. Was quite unique, having been to quite many restaurants I had not seen such a set up...may be close to BBQ nation. Anyway throughly njoid the food even though the beef pieces were paper thin...could improve on this...looked too little on the skewer The deserts were awesome too ..white and brown chocolate fudge as was called ....very rich...order just enough....
I am finally getting around to reviewing this restaurant, and I must say, Ignia was not impressive until I tried their Sunday brunch menu. Yes, you heard me right - every Sunday they offer a set price for unlimited beer, cocktails, and food. The unlimited options make it a great deal, and I was thoroughly impressed during my visit. It is definitely worth checking out.
I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. Located in a quiet, wooded area, this spot boasts a fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, and outstanding cocktails. I highly recommend trying the prawns in cilantro sauce, messy wings, and veggies in teriyaki sauce. The Spaghetti Alio olio was flavorful and expertly prepared. A visit to this restaurant is a must if you find yourself in Goa.
