It’s an unassuming, cozy little restaurant that serves absolutely delicious and authentic Mexican food. My Uber driver recommended this place, and I’m so glad I took his advice. We had a wonderfully flavorful breakfast, and my only regret was that my favorite dish wasn't larger so I could have enjoyed more of it. A big thank you to the staff and chef at Dona Mago for a fantastic meal. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in the Mission District of San Francisco.

We wandered through the Mission District, enjoyed some delicious local cuisine, and stumbled upon Dona Mago. The food is prepared to order, which means it's incredibly fresh and hearty. I tried the daily special with black nopales, and it was fantastic. The chips and salsa were amazing, and the beans and rice were cooked just right, just as you would expect from a cozy spot like this. I can't recall what my husband ordered, but I know he loved it. If I could, I would dine here every day!

It was a delightful challenge to stay awake during work after such a satisfying meal. I recently returned after a few years, and I love that the place still feels simple and inviting, without any hipster pretentiousness. They maintain a genuine, family-oriented atmosphere, and it’s great to see that they haven't changed to fit trendy vibes—just a nice spot to catch the latest soccer game on their flatscreen. It's one of those places where I realize I’ve become a regular, and I couldn't be happier about it.
