Bojangles - Salem
Bojangles
Description
This Southern-style fast-food spot serves bold Cajun flavors—crispy fried chicken, peppery gravy, fluffy biscuits and an addictive sweet potato cake. Guests applaud the fresh, hot food, friendly upbeat staff, reopened dine-in with music and clean dining room, though drive-thru congestion is common. Quality can be inconsistent at times (dry biscuits, small pieces, missed sides), but quick service, standout desserts and convenient location make it a popular stop for breakfast and road trips.

Fresh delicious food. Fast service and friendly and courteous staff. I highly recommend salem bogangles
I stopped by Bojangles just after 11 a.m. to order a roasted chicken bite salad, but I was told that the lunch orders hadn’t been prepared yet. I was offered the choice to wait ten minutes or pick something else, so I opted for two thighs with two sides of green beans. In my opinion, Bojangles has the best fried chicken among the chains when it’s made right. Sometimes the pieces can be small, or the staff might give you the smaller ones, but that wasn’t the case today. Both thighs were large and cooked perfectly. While it’s not exactly healthy, the flavor is unbeatable.
Bojangles is a decent southern-style Cajun chicken chain that I often visit for breakfast when traveling along I-81. My favorites from their menu are the chicken and gravy biscuits paired with Bo’ rounds. The chicken offers a flavorful alternative to typical breakfast options, featuring delicious southern seasonings. The peppery gravy complements everything perfectly, adding both flavor and moisture. The biscuits are fluffy and soft, while the potato rounds are fresh, crispy, and have a hint of onion mixed in. Overall, the food meets my expectations for a fast-food restaurant. Additionally, the place is clean and the service is good. Although it’s not sit-down home cooking, I enjoy stopping at Bojangles for a quick breakfast when I’m in the area, as it provides a nice change from the usual fast-food options I have at home.
The food was outstanding, but we didn’t receive straws when we went through the drive-thru on our way to Tennessee.
