We came in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick drink and saw the food being served looked good so we returned on the Sunday, So glad we did! Great ending to a lovely weekend for us. We ordered two of the platform 1 burgers with some additional peppercorn sauce. Compliments to the chefs as the food was great !! Clearly homemade and very fresh. The staff are all very smart with nice uniform and appear to be confidant on the bar which is always as plus! The pub has a nice atmosphere and is very clean. Well done to whoever has taken this place over recently ! : D

Reasons for this are the staff go above and bey... read more We have been looking for a local pub in our area for months and Platform One is now our FAVOURITE watering hole. Reasons for this are the staff go above and beyond to cater to all of your needs. They are friendly, warm and welcoming. The food is second to none and we are now regulars. They allow dogs which is an added bonus as we hate to leave our little sausage at home. The landlady is an undeniable asset to the establishment. They have a fortnightly quiz night which is fun and is catered to all abilities. If you want a bit more of lively setting then Friday nights are fantastic as they often have performances from local singers which sets a fantastic vibe. I cannot recommend Platform One enough.
