Feedback
When you are an expat living in Rome, trying pizza at different places becomes a bit of a hobby. A great hobby! : Well, the pizza at this place is BY FAR the best one I have ever had. Hands down. All the rest can go back to the drawing board! The pizza at Cartoon is absolutely perfect. It's nice and thin and the dressing is always fresh and rich. You can't ask more from a pizza really. Their fried entrées are delicious. Try the ricotta/spinach fried ball and their supplis as well. They melt in your mouth. And on top of it, their desserts are all home made, super fresh and better than most desserts that you'll find in posh restaurants in the city center. Finally, their service is quick, efficient and super friendly. I can't insist on how truly great this place is. Worth the metro ride (Subaugusta station from whatever hotel you are sleeping in in the center of Rome!
This is a lovely pizzeria located out of the touristic area of Rome. I'd recommend any tourist to get to see Roman life outside of the touristic bubble, it is great! Via Tuscolana has many shops and coffee bars. The pizzeria is usually full, but the service is great, warm and friendly. The pizza is thin and tasty, the menu choice for pizza, calzoni and starters is rich, the price are reasonable (between 5 and 8 euro for a pizza). Service is fast and I suspect itis the technology that they use to take orders. The use a device that is a bar code reader and transmits your order straight to the kitchen. I didn't see that in so many restaurants and I think it is really cool. The only negative thing I could say about this pizzeria that is when it is full of people it gets too noisy, I guess they can do something with the acoustics of the place. I agree with the previous review, it is not quite the romantic place, but it is fun to be there!
