Fresh new pumps new modern beers and a clean tidy atmosphere in which to drink them. The pub was once again teaming with locals and the addition of a Pool table now helps to create an warming atmosphere. Although we did not eat the food coming out of the kitchen looked great Well done Kate and team!

Arrived but hadn't book ...that wasn't a problem .. Waited ages for staff to take drinks order .. She didn't know what ales they had .. Had to go ask .. Didnt k... read more Arrived but hadn't book ...that wasn't a problem .. Waited ages for staff to take drinks order .. She didn't know what ales they had .. Had to go ask .. Didnt know if they had the soft drink i ordered.. Had to go ask .. Took our order ... Fillet steak medium rare ..peppercorn sauce .. And a pasta dish.. When it came ..the steak wasn't a fillet it was ribeye ..pointed it out to another waitress ... Oh didnt she tell you ..run out of fillet ..not a problem .. Tasted the peppercorn sauce .. It wasnt peppercorn ..it was white and only tasted of cream .. The pasta dish was fi e ... Went to pay .... Was nearl charged for fillet and when i pointed out that it wasnt the right sause , the reply twice was ..yes it was pepper corn ... No it wasnt i a cook .. Refused to pay for wrong sauce ... Ruined my parners meal snd our overall experience.. Some staff training and customer service would be valuable

Having been turn... read more We hadn’t booked anywhere for lunch on a Sunday that turned out to be Deal’s half marathon and probably the first nice weather day of the year. Having been turned away from the first two places we tried, it was by luck that we ended up in Ringwould, with friendly service and proper pub Sunday lunch this place was a great find. I would definitely recommend it.

Following a funeral at Ringwould church, one of the mourners knocked on the door of this pub, which, it being a wet weekday lunchtime, was shut, and the landlor... read more Following a funeral at Ringwould church, one of the mourners knocked on the door of this pub, which, it being a wet weekday lunchtime, was shut, and the landlord opened it especially for us, made us very welcome and gave us excellent service in this old, atmospheric and very comfortable pub. It is conveniently situated midway between Dover and Deal, close to the main road, and also provides accommodation. I asked the landlord if it was normal for a closed pub to open on request. He thought not! Highly recommended. Service: 5 Location: 5
