Pub Saint Patrick - Québec
Pub Saint Patrick
Description
A popular spot in Old Quebec, this pub offers a mix of standard pub fare and unique local dishes in a bustling atmosphere. With indoor and outdoor seating, the cozy lower level is perfect for avoiding sudden showers. Service can be hit or miss, but when on point, waitstaff are friendly and attentive. While food may take longer to arrive, it is generally well-prepared and tasty. The extensive beer selection and live music add to the lively ambiance, making it a great place to relax with friends. Overall, a solid choice for a casual evening out in Quebec City.

I came here with my sister and her friend and we had the nicest, funniest, politest server I've ever had! Frank! He was amazing and even made the kind of long waiting time for our dinner really enjoyable! We loved our experience all together
Last Saturday at 21:00 we made the choice of this establishment to the enchanting setting for a evening meal. a pub is a place par excellence when the time of the taste is late. When we arrive a charming lady tells us that we will have to wait a few 45 minutes before we receive our food. No worries about this, our thirst is on the rendezvous, we will have this beautiful period to taste some good beers. After more than ten minutes once in place, a young man finally gives us something to drink. choice is made and we are waiting. Another fifteen is happening and our waitress comes to take the order. we mean our thirst always present and let's go to the discreet passage of our server. nothing happens waiting. Finally after more than 50 minutes we receive our food and a few minutes later a first drink finally received too late!!! the atmosphere is a little troubled, we look forward to receiving our bill to finally leave. a hint at this service gap, most of the employees assigned to our services were already on site at noon the same day as some of our friends present. Perhaps it would be necessary to allow employees to have a rest in order to raise greater attention to their clients.
I go there for the salmon tartars to be enjoyed on the terrace in the summer but so popular that I can often not enjoy it because of lack of seats!
It is not a relaxing fine dining place, but a large building that is jam-packed with two floors and an outside patio with an unbeatable atmosphere. The inside is noisy, but we were lucky to grab the last patio table outside, which was more comfortable and a great place for people-watching. The decor is 100% Irish pub style, and the menu is not too overwhelming with a lot of interesting Irish items to choose from. We selected a few items to share and although it took a while for the food to arrive, we didn't mind as we had the whole afternoon free. Some of the dishes were not what I expected, with a very different style compared to other restaurants in Quebec City, such as the buffalo wings, bangers and mash, and bread cheese curds. Overall, the food was not bad and the service was friendly, with staff checking on us and ensuring we were happy. They spoke good English and there was live music at night, making it a good place to enjoy light snacks and drinks while catching up with friends. It was not expensive and we all enjoyed our experience.
I ordered an orange juice, but what I received was more like orange squash; it was very weak and had no flavor. We also had the two pieces of cod fish and chips. I'm not sure where the fish was, because when I cut open the batter, there was hardly any fish inside. I'm not sure what part of the fish they used! It was an expensive meal for what we received.
