We tend to take our food to have a picnic on the grass verge by the river (3 minutes walk away). The portion size is good. The batter is good. The battered sausage is good. The fish is average. Would recommend.

Very nice chips perfectly cooked with a nice crisp texture and very good fish too, cod cooked just right in a nice thin, crisp batter. The small standard portions were a good size and reasonably priced. Standard cod, small chips and mushy peas cost £12.10. Freshly cooked with friendly, organised service even on a very busy evening. There are a few nearby benches to sit on and eat by the river a perfect dinner after a day at the beach, highly recommended.
