We were skeptical after reading the recent reviews, but this place turned out to be quite good! We arrived at 11:30 and were the only table for teppanyaki at the time. Two other guests joined us, and we enjoyed a fantastic show, complete with some tricks I hadn't seen at other places. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and entertaining. The fried rice was even better than what I've had elsewhere, a... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Fu-ki Post Falls:
The restaurant was visibly dim, and unfortunately, they didn't begin preparing our food until more than an hour after we arrived. We had decided what we wanted to order within just five minutes of being seated. If our waitress hadn't been so overworked, I might have considered not leaving a tip. View all feedback.
Another downside is that if you come with someone and one of you orders sushi while the other orders from the grill, the meals will not arrive together. In fact, they may come as much as 45 minutes apart, which can be awkward for a couple trying to decide whether to eat or wait for each other. One time, only part of my partner’s meal arrived, and his rice didn’t show up until 20 minutes later. From now on, it looks like we’ll be sticking to the grill for a more consistent dining experience.
While this isn't my top choice for Japanese hibachi in the area, it offers the best value for money. If we're looking to enjoy a night out without breaking the bank, this is our go-to spot. It's also a great option for groups where some members love sushi while others don't; you can choose to sit at the grill or in the sushi area and order from either menu. The food is generally good, but the portion sizes for the hibachi dishes are a bit smaller compared to other places. Overall, it's still a fun and unique place to visit if you don't mind a more casual atmosphere.
Fu-Ki is a teppanyaki grill and sushi restaurant. Don't be misled by the front desk staff who refer to it as a hibachi grill; they might need a little more experience to know the difference. The service was pretty standard, and the teppanyaki chef's performance was also average. If you've been to Benihana, you know how entertaining their chefs can be, which sets a high bar. However, Fu-Ki is still worth a visit. The menu offers a decent selection, and the food was good. The staff were friendly, though they seem a bit confused about the type of grills they use.
The cook was amazing and the food delicious. We had a reservation but still had to wait almost an hour. They were not very busy and the waitress was not very attentive. We had to ask for our drinks a few times. Then we were charged an automatic gratuity because there were 8 of us. Very disappointing!!
The service was great and the food was wonderful again. So far they have never let us down.
