**Fu-Ki: A Mixed Bag of Experiences** Fu-Ki, a teppanyaki grill and sushi restaurant, offers a varied dining experience that leaves patrons divided. While some guests appreciate the engaging performances from the chefs and friendly service, others express dissatisfaction with delayed meal arrivals and inconsistent food quality. Sushi lovers may find the offerings lacking, particularly when compared to more specialized establishments. Despite concerns about cleanliness and understaffing, some visitors enjoy the unique twists on classic dishes, particularly the fried rice. Overall, Fu-Ki presents a lively atmosphere with potential for improvement, making it a spot worth considering, albeit with tempered expectations.

Fu-Ki is a teppanyaki grill and sushi restaurant. Don't be misled by the front desk staff who refer to it as a hibachi grill; they might need a little more experience to know the difference. The service was pretty standard, and the teppanyaki chef's performance was also average. If you've been to Benihana, you know how entertaining their chefs can be, which sets a high bar. However, Fu-Ki is still worth a visit. The menu offers a decent selection, and the food was good. The staff were friendly, though they seem a bit confused about the type of grills they use.

We were apprehensive after reading recent reviews, but this place was actually pretty good! We arrived around 11:30 am, and we were the only table for teppanyaki. We were joined by two other people, and enjoyed a great show, including some tricks I’ve not seen at other places. The food was great, the service attentive, and entertaining to eat. The fried rice was better than other places I’ve been. They add sesame seeds for something different. I’d definitely go back.

Visibly understaffed. They didn?t start cooking the food until over an hour after we got there, and we knew what we wanted and were ready to order within 5 minutes. If the one waitress wasn?t so overworked I might have not tipped.

WHY DOES THIS PLACE HAVE 4.5 RATING!!! I wish I looked further into the reviews before eating here because there were others that felt the same . Me and my fiancé are from Olympia Washington so we were heavily relying on reviews for everywhere we havebeen going on our vacation. Outside of this restaurant looked very nice. Walking in, everything was wide open and very plain .Floors were gross , tables were gross , walls were gross , the ?bar? looked like a run down deli . The bathrooms weredisgusting. I honestly wanted to leave at the sight of this place and I wish I trusted my instincts but we decided to stay dueto the reviews . The chef was friendly . However , I noticed immediately his tray he walked out with was filthy . All thecontainers for sauce were dripping , the butter bowl was used with food drippings all over it like it had been used all night .All his sauce bottles were filthy . The rice had so much soy sauce added then to top it off he added their secret sauce . Alsothe eggs added to the rice still had shells !! The vegetables were way too salty and over cooked . The shrimp weren?t deveined .We both ordered filet mignon , the chef put it on the grill and immediately cut the steaks into uneven pieces . We have been tomany Japanese steakhouses and always order filet mignon, it?s such a tender , beautiful piece of meat . Usually they let it cooka bit before slicing . We like the meat to be medium rare . However due to the uneven pieces , the larger pieces were RARE andtasted alive still . Mignon I can usually eat pretty rare and it?s delicious. I was super let down with this whole meal. Myfiancé also ordered yakisoba which was also dripping in their damn secret sauce which is quite disgusting. Overall everythingwas so salty and not good . The waitress was definitely on drugs . Her mouth wouldn?t stop moving and never came to see if wewanted anything else after our initial order . We won?t be back .
