Because of the bad weather we felt it would be easier to eat within the complex we had previously eaten in a number of restaurants in the town of alvor. We were delighted with both the service and quality of food presented to us. I can honestly say they were the best meals we had whilst on holiday.

C... read more First night after arrival in Alvor, and the choice was automatic. It had to be Cotton 's. Very quiet night, but the same excellent staff made us very welcome. Cocktails were delicious and we both had flambé pork fillet. The meat was very tender and lovely. The garlic potatoes were excellent and the vegetables good, but the food was all very salty. Interestingly, our second visit on 7th Oct for Music night was fantastic. We both had covers and Lamb cutlets, but this time opted for salad rather than vegetables. Everything was perfect; the lamb cooked superbly, and very tasty and tender, and a lovely side salad. Whilst the menu here is not extensive the old school service generates a great atmosphere and ambiance, which makes it special. The music is perfectly pitched and allows you to carry on talking easily...
