Awesome place to be. It's fun, interactive and all around good time. Food vendors only take cash. They do have an ATM on site. Things are kinda pricey. The only downfall is there is not enough shaded seating areas for the picnic tables. Only a few canopies and trees cover some tables the rest are in the sun and it was 91° when we went. The woman villain jouster needs a new job and hopefully not around kids. We just wanted to see the horses before we left and other families were there looking too. The jousters were practicing and two of them were being great adding in extra funny commentary for the kids. The Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival in Mt Pleasant PA is a unique, fun, interesting, and memorable experience. The entrance fee was $25 per person, but the parking was free and well organized. You will struggle to find this type of entertainment anywhere else in the area (where else can you experience medieval style living?? . Lots of good food and lots of great entertainment.
Didn't stay long this year, but this is always an annual experience, 10 years so far. The shows and entertainment is always the same every year, Felt very boring this year. I suggest some new shows or variety.

I love everything about the ren fest. All the costumed people. The fire breather. The wenches. The silly shows. The great music. The shops in the woods. The jousting. The food. Everything is fantastic!
Very family friendly place with great shows and so many shops to suit whatever you fancy. My family had a wonderful time coming here.
