Was Anonym at Flight Restaurant a mag?
The menu caters for those who want something a bi different or some 'home-style' cooking, but done extra well. Good range of wines by the glass, and the icecreams are superb. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Flight Restaurant:
Great little restaurant - good location - food serve sizes and prices are appropriate - nice atmosphere - except I was disappointed that out of a group of five, the person with the Entertainment Book voucher for which she should have been entitled to a reduction of the cheapest meal, was knocked back and was reimbursed by 50% only, claiming she dined alone! This is not how all the other restaurants operate, and it wo... View all feedback.

We chose this restaurant because of its location to where we were staying at Seven Mile Beach near the Hobart Airport.I have found in most cases that a restaurant that is a part of an accommodation place (In this case Travelodge) usually offers average food but I was proved wrong and I was very pleasantly surprised. There were three of us dining and we had entrees and mains with drinks at a cost of $150.00 which I thought was good due to the portion sizes and quality of the meals.I had a scotch fillet steak which had the best searing and caramelization that I have tasted in a long time. The steak melted in my mouth so I can recommend this dish. One of my friends had the chicken parmigiana and while he said it was not as moist as he likes it was a very generous serve and he still enjoyed it. My other friend had a salmon pasta dish which he really enjoyed. Prices were good for the serving sizes. We were planning on have desert but we were all quite full after our entrees and main courses. (See photos)The restaurant also offers a full bar service. If you are staying at the Travelodge they also offer full room service for meals. The decor is quite plain but the service and food is well worth a visit.

While getting gas before returning our rental car, we stumbled upon this restaurant and we were glad we did. We had some time to kill before our flight and it was raining, so the free car park and easy entry into the lovely Travelodge was a welcomed convenience. The restaurant had a lift, which we appreciated even though there weren't many stairs. The café was clean and pleasant, the waiter was excellent, and the food was fantastic. It was nice to be in a relaxed environment and enjoy a delicious meal without feeling rushed. We regret not knowing about this restaurant sooner, as we would have eaten here more than once. Next time we visit Hobart, we plan on staying at The Travelodge and dining at the excellent Flight Restaurant again. Overall, it was a truly wonderful experience.

Dropped in for a quick meal after work Friday night. The staff were friendly, helpful and provided efficient service. We were surprised by the size of the meals, hubby had a chicken parmi, it was juicy and a good size. I ordered a lamb salad - the pieces of lamb were tender and the salad was crisp and fresh. The cakes in the desert fridge looked delicious but we opted to give desert a miss. We will certainly add the Flight Restaurant to our list to visit again.

During my trip to Australia, I decided to take a detour to Hobart in Tasmania. Qantas, Australia's premier airline and largest carrier, ensured a comfortable and pleasant journey.

We went here today as part of the entertainment book to try and use a few more vouchers. I ordered the salmon and my partner order the steak when our order arrivered it was piping hot. The steak was mouth watering melt in the mouth. And the salmon was really hot it took a while to cool down which was great. We ordered dessert as well i had the home made cheese cake and my partner had the banana pie which was more like sticky date pudding but really nice. The cheesecake was lovely best meal we have had in a while
